“Northern Soul and Super-Clubbers Unite!” Spinners is a new play, written and directed by Kelly Jordan, that brings together two legendary music subcultures - 70's Northern Soul and 90's clubbing. Performing for 2 nights only - June 28th/29th at Leicester's Y-Theatre. Based on true accounts, it is a coming-of-age story that acknowledges the role that Leicester’s fashionable youth played in these trailblazing movements. Spinners will pay homage to some of the local venues, record shops, and DJs from back in the day, as well as travelling to some of the most iconic clubs from both music scenes. DJ Lee Jeffries will be spinning some of the most treasured vinyl from both decades, so get ready because ‘Long After Tonight is All Over’, you will still be singing the songs and remembering the ‘Promised Land’.
